So I just bought a cold case radiator and dual fan set up from Gbody parts. Came with the relays and wiring. Am I able to wire the new fans/relays to the old wire harness without buying the Casper plug n play? I know one of the stock wires is high and one is low speed,Power and ground but is it strong enough for both fans?

The stock harness cannot safely operate two fans. It should only be used as a trigger for a dedicated fan harness and relay setup that's connected directly to the battery.

I used the caspers plug and play for the intrepid fans, it melted the ground connection in the factory 3 prong plug,on the fan side of the plug they connected the hi and lo speed wires to one control trigger wire, both fan grounds were 12 gauge wires connected to one wire then to the factory plug ground wire, both fan pos power wires connected together then connected to the battery pos terminal with a single 12 gauge fuseable link, so i ran two 12 gauge fan motor grounds to battery and two 12 gauge fan motor pos to pos side of battery, what they sold me was doomed to fail !

That’s weird , cause I’ve been running my Caspers’ Dual Relay Harness on my Intrepid Dual Fans for over 15yrs with out any such issue !

my caspers plug and play harness maybe 12yrs old,put it in when I purchased a cottons ultimate radiator, found ground issue while burping cooling system after replaceing complete ac system. last month, glad that capers makes products for our cars, will continue to buy from them.

tell me about Cotton's ultimate rad.

its a monster, welded alum, I had a custom bigblock alum rad made for my 66 supercharged chevelle, the cotton radiator was larger. jack advertised it as the last radiator you will buy, and its a awsome product, has both coolers in it, the top plate is a little tight, but fits great,

sitting in my shop 104 temp 114 heat index, car idleing,180 deg thermostat, fast xfi says engine temp 172 degs, with cooling fans off, have strech intercooler, cold ac , car always runs 169-172 degrees, set point on fast for fans is 195 on-185 deg off,has dodge intrepid fans, in arkansas cooling system gets a workout ! car never, ever hits 200 degs unless had drained cooling system and burping it,with ac on and cooling fans running it still runs 172 degs, great radiator, would buy another one if needed, had a buddy buy a alradco rad and fans the same time i bought my cotton rad, about 3yrs ago he replaced his because it sprung a leak.

I had work done at Cotton's long ago and had a BGC non-alum. I didn't give it a chance to work. If I had dual fans, it would have been better. He sold me a Griffen alum. That works, but could be better. I'm kinda done worrying about it unless it overheats.
R U using a collant additive as I'm snot at this time.
