weird because i just bought a single in tank, and the paperwork sent with the pump indicates they do:confused:

just ordered a xp from red on tuesday and it came thurs.
ordere form shows double pumper

How are his pumps setups for installation???(Reds that is) I am reading the threads on the Racetronix and I don't have the skills for a lot of extra wiring.

fuel pump

put reds pump in last week and it took about 30 mins.
run tank down , lowere tank disc. the lines, take out old pump and reinstall.
pump seems to work fine and is a lot quieter than the ext pump i had in series with the othwer pump.
i have 50 lb inj andit supplies the fuel with no problem

I spoke to Red Armstrong today and he said he is not making the dual pump setup because of the availability of the '87 hanger however if you have such a hanger and it is not a total rust bucket (a little surface rust is OK), then he will take your hanger and convert it over. He said it might take one to two weeks to get the modification completed. Obviously the cost will be less then his original price of $575 but he did not have a figure he could quote me at the time we spoke.(Red stated that the hanger had to be from an '87 turbo only).

I wonder why 86 hangers can't be modified???

I can not think of a reason why an '86 would not work but I never compared the two.

It is not about the model year but rather about the sender type.
The G75 sender has an open-style level sensor which makes mounting the pumps more difficult.

The G77 sender with the metal-cased level sensor is the one which most people have used to make DPs.
