A little link of a Duramax truck racing, that a friend sent me. How fast do these trucks run?

A friend of mine added a 4" exhaust to his, air filter, and computer upgrade and ran a 14.1@101 I think. Not sure on the MPH but he had it in 4x4 and got a 1.9x 60ft and ran it all the way down the track in 4x4 as you can't get out of it under WOT.

I'd like to hear how fast people are getting these trucks to run. Seems like all I hear about are the Cummins powered trucks.

Any other videos people can post?

Bob- what turbo are you running and is that a "109" based block? Also what cam/heads and boost level did you run to get the low 10's@135mph+?

I saw one this past weekend at Reynolds, GA running low 13's. I think 13.2 was the fastest. It was a 2500HD Crew Cab Silverado (probably weighed 6000lbs) It looked kinda funny doing a burnout on slicks. The tires would make white smoke and the truck was making black smoke

A duramax went 8.38 in the 1/8th at Holiday Raceway about 3 weeks ago.. Wasted an 03 Cobra on that run..

Well.......................

I just "HAD" (not by choice) to buy one which will be explained later in another post. We totalled my 94 chevy dually on the way to Vegas.( With the 100K GN on the trailer behind us)
Dumb a$$ed Lady pulled out onto freeway without looking and pulled right out in front of us. At that point we then had the new 2 ft shorter version of a Chevy Ext cab Dually, and we hit her at 70. Pushed the crank out of the motor (6.5 turbo diesel), broke the trans and bent the driveshaft at the center support, we hit her so hard. Look for more on this "incident" later in another post. We are very sore but at least we are alive. That is the important part. My 94 Chevy took one helluva whack but kept us alive.
We were then the next day, towed to a Chevy dealer and since mine was a total I bought the most loaded one they had.They felt so bad for what happened they knocked 10K off the price. (I think the 1BADGN on the trailer in their dealership on display for the day might have had something to do with it ) Runs like a striped a$$ed ape!! truck just plain hauls the mail. Best thing to come out of a very bad situation. I just cannot believe my luck. What a beautiful rig tho... I absolutly love it!!!!!!!! Too bad I now have a 40K debt

Guy here at Irwindale 1/8 mile ran 8.20s with 33x13.5x15 slicks. He was turning the slicks pretty good. He said the engine was stock. Chip, more boost and a Transgo shift kit.

But at least ya got a nice new one!!

I myself just bought one of the 2003 2500HD's with the Duramax. This is THE best truck I have ever driven. It's comfortable, get great mileage, and could pull down a building. I just plain love it!

BTW, the link doesn't work anymore, does anyone have the movie file??
