dutneck vs aftermarket ic

I see some of you guys are running dut necks on your stock intercoolers. If you do this as opposed to buying an aftermarket ic are you getting the same performance level? [I am talking about a slic.] I think there probably is some performance gain with the aftermarket ones or they wouldnt be selling them?? But how much?

I've heard the aftermarket IC's flow better and cool better than the stocker, even with a Dutt neck mod.
