Trying to understand how the oil lines are routed. I know there are several threads about this pump but the one bit of info i cant find is where does the line run to after the oil filter.
TA performance recommended -16 line from the pan to the "In" of the pump. -16 seems pretty large. Now in the picture i uploaded is showing i believe to be RJC deep sump pan which is what i have. My question for this is i get that the pick up tube looks like its located in the same area as the stock one. Does the screen face the bottom or the back? I am assuming its facing down like the stock pick up tube. I just want to clarify this. Reason why i ask is that under acceleration the oil will slosh to the back which is why fuel cells have the fittings facing back and the pump below the fittings so its gravity fed. Also what is the dimension off the bottom of the pan for the pick up?
Ok so now from the "Out" on the pump. Going to the oil filter. After the oil filter where does it go to next? I know i need to feed the turbo. So does it go pump to oil filter housing(-12 line) in the Inlet side then on the outlet side of the filter it feeds directly to the turbo and dumps off into the pan(Turbo is 1/8npt oil inlet)? Or you run the pump to the oil filter inlet, oil filter outlet to the pan and use the 1/8npt port for the turbo that some oil filter relocation blocks have?
Lastly, The unmarked port on the pump is the bypass. I see different pictures of bypass lines running to the fuel pump block off plate and some running to the upper drivers side of the pan. Any advantages to either route?
I also have a smaller filter before the turbo. Will this restrict flow? Anyone run an additional filter before the turbo itself?
