Will a DW300 physically drop in for LP255 without any mods ?

I run a dw300 in my car with a spectre fuel sending unit. Fits fine.

I run a DW with the factory hanger. Removed the the bottom mounting pad on hanger. Hose clamp holding it to hanger. No issues

I cut a small triangle out of the bottom plate due to the screen fitting differently than my stock one. I used a large hose clamp to hold it to the hanger and have not had any problems with my set up.
