Our local Buick club had a dyno day & so I decided to go & see what kind of #'s I could pull. My combo is listed below & here's what my setting were:

Boost set @25lbs
fuel pressure @ 40 line off
Smc alchy/single nozzle using 100% denatured
turn on point set @15lbs
pump speed @7

I was running 93 octane with the extender chip (23/31 timing)
Put new NGK UR-5'S gapped @.035 in this morning.

1st pull max HP was 405.98 & torque was 416.57. My air/fuel ratio showed me running fat @ 10 to 1. my egt gauge showed 1550 degrees. All dyno pull #'s were taken between 4700 & 5600 rpm's. Now I can see I'm running rich, but my fuel pressure is already @ 40 line off & although I'm seeing 0 knock, I didn't raise boost.
2nd pull I left all setting the same except to set my extender chip to 4% lean @ wot, but still that only raised my air/fuel to11.75 to 1. Would really appreciate any help to get this leaned out & make more HP....please help....

Thanks, The Darkside

would like to add that my blm's are right around 127 w/ the fuel pressure set at 40 line off.
Am I wrong to think that those dyno #'s are low? I really expected to get 450hp & 500 lbs of torque out of this set up.
Here's another question .... is it possible to make as much hp w/ alchy as with c116 & a higher timing chip?

Well the only info given is egt was 1550, 25 PSI boost, 21 degrees timing, car made 405.98. Now this is assumming you didnt see any KR that could of spiked the egt.

Did you lock the converter?

Why are you running it up to 5600 RPM's? Is there a cam in the motor?

What data on your scanmaster did you get like o2's and KR?

Did you get to make any recordings on direct scan?

Scanmaster showed 0 knock, 02's were around 800, convertor was locked @ 85 mph & cam is a speed pro 204/214. Sorry no recordings...

I would think the motor should have made more power as well. Only thing that robs power is converter or air fuel being fat.

Or if the motor is tired???

Could valve springs be weak?

I would say put it on a track and see how the O2's respond. And how much it picks up from 1/8-1/4

I have a stock long block so you should easily be able to produce more power than I am. My torque number was 568, but torque numbers on a dyno seem to be all over the place so I don't know how much faith I'd put in that. I was still rich at 150 mph and have since reduced fuel.
