Probably he same thing that's happened since the 70's when ethanol was mandated to be in gasoline. Except not as dramatic since even the materials on our old cars are newer than the 70's.

Methanol breaks down the rubber in the lines not ethanol... Where I live they already have ethanol in the gas and my GN made no difference in feel or idle performance or anything really.
