I've been thinking, which sometimes is not a good thing, and it concerns E-85 and using it in the car and maybe upping to two nozzles and not using meth, has anyone tried this and are the pumps compatible with the E-85 in the Alky kit?? Julio. I do know that John Lindsay used 3 nozzles in his Z car with the SMC kit which seemed to work, but I need more info from someone that is more in the know about this than I. Again Julio!!

Thanks

Ron

The old SMC system used a walbro/efi type pump. Current kits by everyone including SMC and myself use chemical pumps not suited for any petroleum content. E85 has petroleum and alcohol. Its a mess.

You'll have a short lived pump running it through my pump. But you can try it :D and let me know how it goes.

do you have a pump that will work, if not could you build one too work, let me know if so. you can pm me if you like. Also if one decided to try this should I use one or two nozzles. Let me know Julio, thanks

Julio, I forgot to ask you about E-100 also, which I can also get, my friend Henry knows the guy that owns or part owns Wyoming Ethanol and can get it real, real reasonable.

Ron

E-100, yes just Ethanol only, somewhere around 113 octane, but I understand it acts much higher than the 113, so can we use E-100 vs. meth or just the meth only in your pumps, just want to be sure is why I'm asking.

I can assumme that E-100 by itself should be fine. But my data over the years has been using methanol.

Julio, my friend Henry is picking up about 5 gal. of the pure E-100, unlike the E-100 race fuel which has a top end lube in it, this is the pure mac daddy
stuff, will give it a try since it is about 2.00$ a gallon, not bad for 129 octane on the RON scale. Let me know what ya think.
thanks

Ron

Cool.. let us know how it goes.. seems like a neat cheap alternative.

Julio

Sounds like a bunch of knock and blown head gasket to me! LOL!

Im crossing my fingers for you man...

Julio,

With ethanol catching on are you going to develop a E85 pump? I can get E85 easier and cheaper around here.

Thanks,
Walter

Walter,

My problem is the only E85 in Florida last I checked was 200 miles away in one gas station across the state. So while its catching on in the Midwest.. I have no access to it.

Closest thing is a Hess that now is 90 petro and 10 alcohol.

Maybe in the near future
