Just had my motor built by Nick Micale (see sig) and opted for E85. We used some parts from the previous motor (which was toast when I bought it), which the seller didn't know too much about. Nick determined that they are 60 lb injectors (they are the tall, skinny type).

I've currently have it at ~20 psi boost, and have noticed that it felt like it might not be getting enough fuel at the top end of 3rd gear. Basically, it just stops pulling hard, and I'm wondering if it's because with the E85, it needs more fuel, and the 60 lb injectors aren't supplying enough.

Nick and his associate tuned it, so I don't know what the fuel pressure is. It was tuned in Phoenix, and I'm also wondering if it needs to be retuned now that I'm here in Colorado, being that I'm at ~6K elevation. Might I be running leaner now that I'm at this high elevation? I know that that was an issue when I moved here 10 years ago with my STi. I kept getting an error code (lean) and had to have it reflashed.

I just read a post of someone who's running 28 psi boost with E85, not that I will, but I might want to turn it up a few more at some point to see how she feels. But obviously, if I need bigger injectors, I won't bother until I upgrade 'em.

What's crazy (and nice to know!), is knowing with injectors, I can add another 5+ psi! I guess I got more power waiting... ;)

Got a powerlogger and a laptop on that car? Gotta have data to know.

(bowing my head in shame) No. Say...would a Direct Scan suffice? I have a friend who's offered to sell me his. I'm on a bit of a budget and the price is right on the DS.

The direct scan would work but probably more trouble than its worth. They had their share of bugs when they were new
