... an engine that’s been sitting for 4 months? It’s not a fresh build. I’d like to not have to disconnect a lot of stuff.
Will it work to either turn the engine over with the accelerator floored, or possibly with the computer disconnected?
Thanks

If the motor has not been opened or front cover/oil pump have not been opened/taken apart, there may be no need to prime. However, if it makes ya feel better here ya go.

Take cam sensor out, use a long flat head bit in drill, insert into cam sensor hole, connect to oil pump stem, spin drill until you see oil from DS rockers, or when you start seeing a reading on your oil pressure gauge.

Some folks will open the oil pump assembly & pack full of petroleum jelly.

I wouldn't "floor it" from start....
Sounds crazy, right? I had a GN years ago & was told to do that to prime after it’s been sitting for awhile. Car wouldn’t start with it floored when I tried it numerous times. Maybe I just got lucky. Anybody know for sure?

It puts you into clear flood mode. Might be in the owners manual it is in the service manual here.

Are we talking fuel or oil pressure here?

If it’s fuel just turn key a few times & watch fuel pressure gauge. Then you know you have fuel at your injectors.

I have an anti-theft switch to shut off the fuel pump which I use to fill the oil filter after oil changes as well.
You could also unplug the fuel pump connector at the back of the car.
