I may never trust Ebay ever again. I bid on a set of bezels with lights:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2417022224&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOAB:MT:6
winning bid was by $51.77 less shipping. prolly gonna be $20 more for 2day air...but it's prolly gonna get here by slow boat. Fortunatly...I didnt send any money :). I get an email saying I won the bid, it goes to elewis@wi.rr.com signed by Eric Lewis. I reply back confirming my mailing address. oddly...i get a reply that elewis@wi.rr.com belonged to Ellen Lewis, signed by Ellen regarding that the email belonged to her for more than a year and to tell Eric Lewis he's using someone eleses email. Already Im getting doubts but at the same time, lucky that no money was sent. focker these days are trying to get away with everything.

Bummer, Chris.

Did you let e-bay know of the mistake with the e-mail addy? there is supposed to be a verification process that prevents this...

Hope it works out for you.

yup, that sounds pretty odd that there are two same road runner address's.

don't give up on ebay yet, it is just one of those instances that happened. I have almost 500 transactions, there were some that were hard to deal with, but everything worked out.

I think there is a way where you can find out his personal information. go to SEARCH, then Find Members, then scroll down to Contact Info. Ebay will have the personal info ,but you will need the user's ID and the auction number.

hope this helps.

Sorry to hear your grief but...I'm not a veteran Ebayer myself but after reviewing the link, Chris you have zero kills and I would be reluctant to sell or buy anything from you if I didn't know you. Money first, merchandise second. Your seller had one kill, while the feedback was praise, this was praise from something he purchased. You need to be on your toes if you're going to engage in a transaction with someone with very little activity. On the other hand, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase anything from Brian since he says he's got over 500 transactions. Well, hopefully all positive ones. lol stew

transaction went pretty smoove :p. I called the guy to confirm..blah blah blah and he was apologetic to me saying that he had no idea i actually help set up his email as well over the phone to get rid of the mixup for his benefit for future auctions. still that focker didnt wanna budge on the shipping. I asked for USPS and he insisted on UPS  and shipping charges came out to $38.something. :o Oh well..it's in my car's trunk as we speak...its in ok condition. prolly worth way less than $51.77..maybe $25 or so. Damaged has been done...but one less lb on my shoulder as i slowly rebuild my front end.
