My favorite would have to be the "haunted nintendo" that some nutjob had on ebay a couple years ago. He had a great story on why the thing would act up halfway through the game and make strange noises. And of course, all the ding dongs came out of the woodwork with all kinds of "serious" questions and started bidding away. It takes all kinds to make the world go around.
