Ebay Question

I was attemting to sell a car on Ebay. The car met the reserve price. After the auction, the high-bidder sends me a message asking if I would offer the car to the next bidder in line. It looks like Ebay is going to charge me the fee as if the car sold to the high-bidder ? Anyone run into something like this before ?
