Went to plug up the ECM and noticed that there are 3 connectors there. Blue, grey, and a clear one. The blue and gray fit into the ECM so where does the clear connector belong? It's running off the same harness as the other two connectors.
 
If it has org, wht, brn etc. wires, there is a mate to it look high in pass kickpanel or behind glove box
 
It connects the Instrument panel to some of the underhood connections
 
My car is not running yet and hasn't since I bought it so I guess my question should be does it need to b connected to run ? About at the point where I think I'm ready to start
 
That's the C437 dash connector. Without it connected, the car won't start. One of the fuse feeds goes through that connector along with ALDL wiring.

There are two black connectors that plug into it. You will find them in the dash wiring harness.
