ECM Power , car shut off

How can I tell if the ECM is getting power when the car is shut off?

I'm thinking my Alarm is cutting off power to the ECM, thus losing its memory.

Pull the ECM out of the footwell. With the key on, backprobe the orange wire (C-16) with a VOM (to be sure your meter shows voltage). Now switch the key off and see what happens (you should NOT lose the voltage).
