ECM Question

Is their some kind of Cut-off when the ECM get's too much Volts...ei; 14+ and then it resets?

I'm sure it depends on the ECM, but I think the FAST will work up to 19-20 volts.

If you go that high, you'll have other problems...

Thanks Bob. I am trying to sort out a problem that I have when I launch the Car, and this crossed my mind. I was told that the ECM has a High Volt Cut-off device. Just keeping an open mind.

The FAST system will work just fine even over 20 volts. The voltage regulator will get pretty warm though at that range. To answer your question, if this is a FAST ECU, there isn't a reset feature like you are describing. But, if you get lucky enough to exceed about 27 volts, you can blow it up and then we can reset it for you.

I am not sure if their is something wrong with it. I am using the Stock that's modified for Low Imp. Injectors, and I have a Hesitation that happens ONLY when I launch the Car on Slicks. I will have to try another Unit from a friend.
