Can our chips in our CCC(81-83) cars be changed. If so what can be adjusted by the ECM chip. Can you gain performance with ECM chip adjustments? Anyone experimented with this?

You can gain good horse power by tweaking the settings on the chip. The stock setting are mild to improve MPG & stuff.
For each mod that you do changes how the chip sees the date and what to do with it. Look at the SFI guys.
But because we are old school (carbed) good luck on finding someone that will even try to read the code(or even that knows how to read the code) on the chip and try to tweak it.
If anyone would know I think it would be Kenny Bell.

Chips custom burned

It all depends on where you live. About 1-1/2 to 2 hours north of me there is a place called Blood Enterprises in Auburn Wa. that for $100 dollars an hour they will put your car on the dyno and custom tweak a chip for it. This process usually runs about 2-2 1/2 hours. So for about $200-$250 you get a chip that is set to the max power limits with the mods you currently have. I will be making a trip there soon. I told them what I have and they said no prob. They do it for other carbed performance so why not mine.:D

I have never heard of anyone succesfully burning CCC PROM chips. :(

While it would be great, the more I look into it, the less I think I need one. The only two things I would want to change are timing and fuel mixture. Timing can be manipulated with things like an MSD BTM and WOT fuel mixtures aren't controlled by the ECM.
