RealMen (TM) don't need no steeenking editor, they do it in hex in their heads! I used to do it in hex, with a calculator for the conversions, but now I'm old and lazy and use WinBin. This is a windows version of Promedit, which is dos-based. Both are freeware, share a common ecm definition file format (.ecu files), and are available through www.diy-efi.org (surf around for the links). I uploaded an early .ecu file for our ecm to the incoming directory there, but it has one error right at the start - the mat timing compensation table address is wrong so the table looks hosed. I'll upload a newer file RealSoonNow (TM) .
Shoot Carl, I have a hard time with base 10! If I had to work with hex I'd have to take off both shoes and then the extra toes would probably confuse me!
Free is a good reason to choose winbin.
Paul, thanks for the info on tweaker I'll go take a look at it later today.
