Gov Duval has issued an order that starting at 4pm today no vehicles allowed on MA roads until further notice except for emergency vehicles, medical personnel or if you are providing a public service.

im from mass, and heard about it acouple hours ago now, my buddy texted me saying a 1000 dollar fine if a cop grabs ya, and i guess even the plow trucks that arent plowing for the state are banned as well...

Good thing they are looking out for our safety and well being by imposing such a huge fine.

Cars still haven't stopped drive where I live. We must have allot of people providing a public service.

i hear ya, everyone here has totally ignored the ban lol, what part of mass are u from?

I think they are trying to stop the idiots the go out driving around for no reason in this crap. I remember how many people got stuck in the Blizzard of 78. No need for that with this storm.

Snow and wind, also known as a Blizzard. We're on the cold side of the storm. Wind blows in from the northeast so we call this kind of storm a Nor'easter.

LOL You just reminded me of Ground Hog Day!

We are expecting anywhere from 2 to 3 feet

Here is a pic of right now 7:45 eastern time. I'll post a new one tomorrow morning.

i love how everyone is playing it up like snow in February isn't a thing that's ever happened before..
we are truly becoming a nation of pussies.

For Canadians...it's a walk in the park. I'm heading back out in it at 5am to go back to work.:)

34" here at work in Woodbridge CT. We got hammered. Went home around 3:30P Friday afternoon and get a call that the fire alarm panel is messed up around 8:30Pm so headed off to work. Nursing home so got to think of the old folks safety and obviously didn't think of my own. Got on Wilbur Cross Parkway and knew I made a mistake. Minimal lighting and whiteout conditions. Decided to get off the first exit I could and take main city streets instead. Only thing is I missed the exit! This is a road I drive every day and couldn't tell where I was. Once I did I ended up backing up and got off the exit, was the only one on the road at that time. Made it in to work and actually saw someone riding a bike on Dixwell ave. Stuck here now at 4:40am and everyone is calling out so doing everybody's job from laundry to maintenance. Ready to keel over.

This kind of snow storm isn't just the usual we get. In the cities there is no where to put the snow and all the cars have to be off the road. Just that is a giant pain in the ass. Closer to the shore they are getting heavy wet mashed potatoe snow. Thats a killer. My grandfather died of a heart attack shoveling that kind of snow. Alot of costal areas are going to get flooding and beach erosion and sea walls crumbling with the astronomical high tide this morning. No matter how "tough" you think you are you have to respect nature be it tornados, hurricanes, floods or snow. Our modern devices makes it safer to make it though these weather conditions but nature is still more powerful than us.

Been out since 1am plowing, finish one parking lot by the time ur done with the second the first one was full again!!! I was born in 84 so I never saw the 78 blizzard but I do remember the 97 on April fools day... I think this one is worse!

We got 30" inchs here I a few areas but I live right on the water ( about 250 ft from the beach) and we have snow drifts 8ft tall!

I can't believe all the idiots out last night joy riding and getting stuck...

Just came to a stop now for breakfast and its still coming down when will this sucker leave!!
