Anyone know what percent duty cycle normally is enough to trigger the EGR built in vacuum switch that provides the ground signal back to the ECM?

Doesn't have to be an exact voltage or EGR percent, just some rough idea or data from your testing.

Got my controller working today and I needed 4 volts or roughly 33% duty cycle to get the switch to close that would signal the ECM that the EGR was functioning I assume.

Anyone know what's in the normal stock code or how the ECM uses that ground signal?

Any discussion or info. is appreciated.

All I can offer is that 20% seems to be lowest EGR duty cycle that the ecm uses, based on the table in the stock chip (and 100% the highest).

Thanks Carl that does help.

I think I will shoot for the 33% d.c. next emission test in Feb.

Car passed slightly without EGR 910 out of 921 in NOX.

Too close for me to risk it next time out.

Hopefully it (NOX) will go down and not raise anything else with that duty cycle.

I guess the signal from the EVRV vacuum switch closure is only a diagnostic thing on the brown wire.
