EGR Delete

Over the weekend I threw the check engine 32 code for the EGR. Instead of replacing the EGR I was looking into deleting it. What are the pros and cons of an EGR delete?

Pro, less clutter in the engine compartment.

Con, nothing I have found if the intake is sealed real well when the valve, solenoid and hoses are removed. Aftermarket chips will not set a code when removed.
