EGR stuck closed...

Hey on one of my friends car their EGR is stuck closed, and im wondering if there is a way to get it unstuck without buying a whole new unit. If anyone knows anything that would be great.

Probably better to just buy a new unit. If you do get it unstuck, and it periodically sticks open, you'll encounter a rough idle or stalling at idle. An OEM unit is still available from GM. You may also want to remove the carbon from the EGR ports.
