EGR valve leaking oil?

im assuming an EGR valve cannot leak oil, but i swear it is. when i take the blakc cover off of it, ther is oil all around the rims of it and it is leaking down to the valve cover on the drivers side? if an egr cannot leak oil, what could it be????

If you still have the hose hooked up from the passanger valve cover to the turbo, it has probably sucked up oil if its never been cleaned out.

Check to see if your vacuum block has oil in it. If so, clean out your lines and disconnect the valve cover hose.

i have a breather on the pas side vc. its been on there for a whie now. ill check the vacuum block and throttle body for oil tomorrow.

My bet is a leaking intake. When under boost oil is being forced out the leaking gasket and spraying under the EGR valve.

that was i was afraid of. how invloved is changing the intake gasket?

ok, is there a write up on it anywhere? or is it int he service manual, i have that. Can i get the gasket anywhere or is it a special gasket
