This Sat, 26 Aug., 2006, is the annual El Segundo Main Street car show. I have not called and talked to them yet, but they generally are user friendly about letting turbo Buicks in for show. $25 at the gate Aug 26. I had the turbo Buick in this show about 2 years ago and it was a very good show. Plenty of business places for food & drink on Main Street. I am planning on showing the Buick. Don't expect it to place, but I expect to meet some turbo Buick fans there. If anybody is interested, drop me an e-mail and let me know or post up. This show is sponsored by the El Segundo Police officers Association. If anybody wants to call them, the phone # is (310) 524-2262, and the site addy is:

Hope to see some of you guys there. Remember, there are very few shows that allow us to show.

Drats, missed it. Got home late Friday night from vacation, too pooped to go out on Saturday.

I'll note the event for next year 2007 ... it's just a few miles from where I live.

Sorry that you missed it Tom, was a very good show, maybe next time. Labor Day Cruise this weekend at Costa Mesa fairgrounds. 3 day show, see my post below in this section

Claremont also has a nice monthly car show, March thru October :

Village Cruise Nite
Second Saturday of the month. 5:00 - 8:30 pm. Display of classic cars around the Village Grille at Yale Ave. & Second St.

Mostly 50s-60s-early 70s vehicles, a fair number of 30s-40s. Offhand, don't know if they have a strict model year cutoff, but I suspect not, since I've seen an occasional 80s mustang or corvette. But have never seen a turbo Buick on display.

Claremont is a pleasant to stroll around in, with lots of trees, cafes, and restaurants. And I usually end up visiting my son , who attends one of 5 the "Claremont Colleges".
