I put an Art Carr shift kit in a few weeks ago and I love it. I have noticed, hoever, that on hard shifts at part throttle when it doesn't chirp the tires the whole drive train seems to act like a rubber band, that is elastic.
you feel it shift....you get jerked in your seat.....and then there is a sort of forward, backward movement like a spring has just moved.
I assume it is a combination of the trans mount and the rear control arm bushings reacting to the hard shifts.
Anyone have experience with these types of elastic shifts? Anything I should worry about?
