I'm wanting to ground my electric fan in such a way that I can leave it on when I shut the car off. www.gnttype.org said all I need to do is basically ground a wire coming off the fast fan relay. I also recall reading something about the fan shutting itself off after 10 mins of use if left on. Is this true?

Also, I'm considering a cold air kit. What is a good company that sells them, and is the replacement/reinstallation of the MAF sensor necessary?

Thanks,

James

I am pretty sure that when you shut off the car when it has been warmed up that the fan should run for a little while. If it doesn't,it could be that your fan delay relay is bad.

Yes, the fan runs for about 15 secs after I shut my car off. I've never gotten the car hotter than 200 degrees, and rarely does it go over 180. I just want something I can leave on and cool down the engine a little faster....

YES, WHAT YOU'VE READ ABOUT GROUNDING THAT WIRE AS DESCRIBED IN GN/TTYPE IS TRUE. RUN IT THOUGH A TOGGLE SWITCH AND YOU CAN CHOOSE TO GROUND IT OR NOT.
