Just purchased my 85 GN a few days ago ( been waiting for this day my whole life
) and I am trying to get it back to running as it should. First things first, I decided to try and figure out what the pesky service engine light was trying to tell. Tried to pull codes by jumping the ALDL connector, but all it does is just flash the service engine light repeatedly, with no stopping.
Since that didn't work, I decided to phone a friend that has an OTC scanner. Well, that didn't do anything either, it would just pull a "no data" signal.
Otherwise, it seems to be running good, albeit a bit doggy, but I think the plugs / plug wires are original ( wires are on the way ) and just have to do some other small stuff before I attempt to make it faster.
