My Fuse to my CIG-Clk keep blowing and i cant figure out why. This keep cutting off my cd player, ac, and a few other things. Have any one else experienced this if so what did u do?

Cheap and effective since I don't smoke. Cut the heating element off the lighter and put the handle back in the receiver. Brad

ok with me doing that i should still b able to use a car charger? nor would it make anything else malfunction?

In my case I added the car charger from Radio Shack under the dash. Wired it to the fuse box since it comes with a built in fuse. The other alternative is pull the center dash out and replace the cigarette lighter assembly. This problem is quite common. Good luck. Brad

Had this problem, i unplugged the Cig power to the back, rip out the whole Cig unit, take off the wire put back, call it a day. Never blew, I wonder why this happens tho, i woulod like to get power to my IPOD when i start driving this thing again.

Guess i'll just tapp into a source and make a power outlet, they sell them at most autoparts stores and i can inline a fuse there or relay whatever.

well i tried that and it still blew as soon as i put it in. so the cig isnt the prob

I should have been more specific. I made sure all metal on the cig lighter with the heating element was gone. Worked for me. Good luck. Brad
