I recently purchased an 84 t-type that has been sitting for 4 years. My electronic dash does not work properly. The turbo indicator does not light up, I don't know if its the bulb or what. Also the gas indicator flashes empty when i just put $30.00 in it. Further more my speedometer indicats 0 mph and goes "crazy" when I go over 40mph. I checked the fuses and they apear to be good. If anyone has had the same problem or knows how to fix it I sure would appreciate your help, thanks.

I would call Caspers Electronics or check their website. They can rebuild your troublesome unit. Just an idea. Brad

The boost lights are controlled by a Hobbs switch out on the right side wheelhouse. Check the vacuum hose going to it. GBodyParts.com Online carries new ones if it needs to be replaced. You're going to have to pull the sending unit out of the tank and clean it to stop the fluxuating gas guage. Sounds like the power processor on the cluster is on the way out. Caspers will have to replace that one.

I have detailed instructions on how to check and clean you sending unit. Just go to the link in my signature.

Can someone please tell me what the part is called that indicates the MPH on the digital dash? I was told it is green and sits behind the cluster. Thanks

Sounds like you're talking about the resistor. I think Capers has a pic of it on thier site. If you're looking at the cluster right smack dab behind the MPH board is that resistor. It's the very top one along the edge of the board. I had a a cluster that would go blank on the speedo and I found that by gently readjusting that resistor would temporarlly get it to work.
