ELM 327?

Has anybody tried one of these out, are they compatible with an iPhone, and last but not least are they garbage or do they function as stated?

There is an app that has just been released for OBD 1, but its only compatible with tunerpro RT. Its called ALDLdroid. Can be used with a BT adapter or USB, also has EEProm emulation capabilities when used with the Ostrich 2.0. Too bad there isn't a more developed .ADX/.XDF for $T31 floating around.
