Emergency Brake Light

I have a question (concern), my dash red emergency light comes on sometimes when I am braking. I had a Grand Am that did this before and it turned out I was leaking fluid, was out, got a soft pedal, and brakes went out. Needless to say I've checked my fluid level and it is fine for 2 weeks.

The light sometimes goes off as soon as I let off the pedal, and sometimes it stays on for 30 seconds after. I just don't want to be driving and have my brakes go out.

By the way I have the stock brake system any suggestions?

An intermittent light usually means the accumulator needs to be replaced. Its the ball mounted on the side of the booster/MC. These can get expensive so do a search for vendors that sell an affordable one.
