my factory turbo to intercooler hose got shredded one night when i had made a slight wastgate misadjustment. blown completly off, car barely ran, and i was miles from home, would have never made it. BUT, there was a home depot 1/2 mile down the rode, i made it there and was sure i could find something to help me get it home. in the plumbing section, i found a black drian coupling with 2 hose clamps attached to it- perfect size also. got that on in the parking lot and made it home. my replacement coupling was shipped to me, and i there it in the trunk with the tools to put it on.
17 lbs of boost about 4 months and 3,000 miles later (that's constant boost if you know how i drive) it finally popped. tonight, i was tweaking that wastgate again
and while hitting the top of 3rd, it farted.
i know it wasn't made for the application, but hey, it held up pretty good.
