I've read alot of threads trying to find a close match to the factory paint. I need to paint a core support. Eastwood underhood black is too satin, and the closest thing I've ever used is rustoleum satin. But is there no actual gm paint code for these things???

I always use krylon BBQ & stove paint. It's not flat but around a Simi gloss. I use it for trim and everything under hood.

I like to look for solvent resistant paint usually engine paint. I had repainted the radiator hold down very nicely, and it got sprayed w/ fuel from the rail and it was ruined. A lot of paints from the can are not solvent resistant. just something to keep in mind.

I always use black epoxy primer tuff stuff drys semi flat

Not yet, but I will again. I've got some houses to sell, and then we are going to move and I'll set back up for custom work. friends and family.
