engine harness location

Maybe a dumb question, on the drivers side what do you guys out there do with the wire harness on an aftermarket value cover? Will it still mount to the top of cover or do I take it out of the factory plastic loom?

I took all my loom off and wrapped it with tape. I looks better, you can work around it with less trouble and is easier to route.

Ok that makes sense, but where to lay the wires on drivers side going forward. Maybe a pic would help me understand. Thanks

Some run that harness thru the intake mani.
Me, i prefer stock location. There is way too much heat in the passenger side already.

I just for show purposes, I am serious considering making a some sort of cover for the driver side, just between the wiper motor and washer tank.

Do you think the loom will mount to the high valve covers. The bolts are at the top.
