OK, what ever you do don't trash the bad ECM. A I posted earlier, it is just a small 50-cent transistor that goes bad. It may cost a little more to pay someone for the time to replace it. But it is a good save on a stock ECM.
I took some pictures which I will post later, need to get to a different PC.
The culprit is located on the lower board, in about the center of it. Will be a basic TO-92 case, but with a twist. It will be either taller, or it will have a small metal tab protruding from the top.
OK, pictures, again on the lower board, can use a PN2907 to replace it. Click on the thumbnails for a full size pic. Please read previous post for info on the two different transistor possibilities shown.
Forgot to add, ignore the gray wire, a stock ECM won't have that.
