Engine oiling question/eng gurus needed

Hello all....so let me ask you this...looking at my engine on the stand..i am trying to think of how can i pressurize the oiling system to see if im getting oil flow to all the rods...is this even possible...
Also looking at it..the lifters need to be in to complete the path of oil flow...yes...
Any pics out there of the path of oil flow...

Hi,

I have used a old ( CLEANED ! ) fire ext bottle filled with clean oil and just pressurized it. I then hook it up to the engine thru the oil feed hole and hit the bottle. Instant oil flow and pressure. You can also use a priming tool for a SB chevy and prime it like you would for first firing. Sorry no diagram of the oil path here but seen them out there on the net. And yes you will need the lifters in to keep the oil from just running out the lifter feed channels.
