engine ping

i had my 84 gn 4 a while and the car pings when i get on the gas about half throttle and it misfires. the car used to overheat bad now its fixed. i was thinking it might be my ignition module. so far i replaced coil pack, plugs, wires, checked fuel pressure. my boost doesnt go past 7psi my friend turned it down cause of the pinging. any suggestions?

Do you have any way to get readings from your car? Some sort of scan tool? Pinging? Are you hearing Knock? Do you have any way to monitor your fuel pressure, know where it's set, what are the specs on your car? It could be a 100 things or 1 thing. Need some more information please.

ok ill get back to u on that. i have a scan tool that gives blms, o2, rpm, ect. have a fuel pressure guage too.
