OK folks, I was watching Eragon with my kids this morning and although is not my type of movie it was interesting and made me think... The dragon picks its rider. The dragon will wait until the right rider comes along... so I thought that is very similar to today's GN's/TR's. Usually these cars end up in the wrong hands they get destroy/misued and under appreciated. Everytime, I read of someone finding a car and manage to restore it for whatever reason is a good story that provides inspiration, motivation, and creativity for others to follow. I believe the these Buicks are waiting for the right rider to come along and get them where they need to be. Weather they get used as daily drivers, drag racing or both. These cars have been kept from the brink of extinction because of riders like us. It is part of our American history and who we are as americans. I really hope that the Turbo Buick history continues to be written until the end of times, in which these cars were/are known as the best production street cars ever built. I know that was a lot of non-sense, but that was my daily inspirational thought of the day.

Thank you, thank you very much!!

Riiiiiight..........

Or maybe its a car, like the other eleventy-billion cars out there. You know, metal, glass, rubber, and plastic.

i like that kinda link, the car waiting for the right rider:cool: , i know it's fantasy but i have never looked at nor wanted another performance car the way i do a Buick.:)

Same here no-nos, although I like how other muscle cars perform, etc. It is something about these cars they makes people stop and look. Everywhere I go some ol' timer tells me that my car looks good, does it have a V8, etc. The bottom line is that I'm a damn proud owner of one.

These cars definitely choose their driver. The fist day I saw one, I knew it to be different than any other car that I looked at. My father had Porches, Ferarris, Vettes, Chevelles, all kinds of neat cars. I can look at a European Exotic and think, wow, nice car - I will always, no matter what compare it to a TR.

I'm willing to bet that if there was a parking lot with 100,000 black Monte Carlo SS's and one GN, I could pick the GN out in a couple seconds. It would find me.

We are but a small brotherhood. What we know sets us apart from the usual muscle car enthusiast. What we can do with a V6 sets this car apart from any other. They are old and becoming harder to deal with.

The best part so far, the other guy not knowing if you are driving a 10 second 1/4 mile car to work, or the grocery store, or for a drive on Sunday.

I will always choose this car over any other. Just knowing that it is sitting 20 feet from me gives me a sense of security. No matter what GM, Ford, Chrysler, or any other manufacturer throws out in the future....they will always question whether or not it will beat the TR next to them on the pad.

Well put Notacarlo... I believe the same thing. I think car manufacturers will continue to find a way to make a better car than a TR. Until then, let us keep the spirit alive...

I'm just gonna throw this out there........

Posts like this may be one reason people think Buick guys are "weird".

I'm just sayin'......

Weird, but fast.

Admitting it is the first step in the right direction. I'm ok with that.
