I have a 87 gn an noticed I have 2 screws missing on my evap canister and there is a gap under it you can see is this a vacuum leak will it hurt my car

If the gap you are referring to is the filter than you have nothing to worry about. Our canisters have a filter located in the bottom. If you are still unsure take some photos.

Many times people relocate the canister from the factory mounting position to allow more room for air intakes. You should be able to see where it attaches to the inner fender and reattach it.

Yes when I stick my hand down under the canister I can feel a filter so I'm OK?
