just got my new TH400 in the mail today . ever seen a Th400 converter build like the one shown ? I've never . looks pretty beefy with the plate , if that means anything .

the main function of the plate is to take up extra clearance needed to get proper converter spacing because the converter being adapted is from a different transmission.this is how some companies get the job done.it does not mean it is a bad product.i dont care for that method of assembling converters but im sure they have their own reasons for producing the converter as it appears.

yup. same converter im running and i beat on it daily.. works great..
i like the ring better then the legs

Are you guys running the lock up or non?
What was the pricing like?
 
It is a 10" unit with a lock-up. Speak to Bill at westcoast. He is a great person to deal with. Free restall as well. $400 for the converter but if you run a trans-brake they sugest a better sprag which is a few dollars more.
 
10inch 3500 stall with lockup for my 200r4 $425.00
10 inch 3500 stall for my th400 $400.00

both my trans have transbrakes

I highly recomend West Coast.. Bill is an awesome guy.
Ive never needed a restall, they have been right on the money everytime

I even run one of there extra tight diesel converters in m tow rig
