Can some one explain what happens when I move the TV cable in or out on the adjustment notches? How big of an affect do the various notches have? This is on a stock 2004r trans in my 86 GN.

Standing on the driver side adjusting the tv cable:... adjusting it a notch or two toward the radiator makes it slightly looser lessens pressure makes the transmission shift a
few miles per hour early.

adjusting the cable a notch or two back toward the fire wall tightens up pressure slightly from what I see and makes the transmission shift a few miles per hour late @ wot may get a few more rpms out of it before it changes.

EDIT: Better yet read this here I don't want to confuse anyone.: http://www.transmissioncenter.com/700r4_Throttle_Valve_Cable_Adjustment_Instructions.htm

And also here: http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/ccrp_0401_throttle_valve/index.html

Don't quote me on this but this is my understanding of reading and finding out with my adjustment procedure . If I'm not mistaken your suppose to mash the D tab pull
the cable all the way to the firewall & reset by Pressing throttle cable all the way forward or get in the car and press the gas pedal to the floor. You should be done.
