Thanks
Brent

New ones are really hard to find and used ones are usually so old they aren't in much better shape than the one that broke. It's a lot of work but I made one by cutting the rubber part out of a front tire off a Harley with a hack saw. I used a small bolt size pipe that I ground to a sharp edge and then cut out the holes with the pipe and a hammer on a block of wood. I put it together with bolts instead of the rivets. Any motorcycle place will be glad to give you the tire and you will have enough rubber to make them for the rest of your life.

You can also do what i did. I went to the nearest auto parts and went to the muffler/exhaust section. Look for a kit that has a strap about 1/2 inch thick with many holes about 8 or 10 and it comes with bolts and hardware. Then you need to cut the factory strap and large rivet looking things with a drill. The rest will be easy, and by the way the kit is only $3-5 bucks.

I have been driving around for almost 2 years without a hanger there. I don't have a cat, so there's really no significant weight to support there anymore.

SAME here.. I used a gutted cat & decided not to use the hanger because I could not get the correct lenght bolts. My hanger is just on for the ride.. Need to have a cat on for the visual yearly inspection

I did what Mar86GN suggested a few months ago. Only problem was now I cant get one of the bottom bolts between the Tpipe and hooker system to line up with the bracket. So it is offering some support but not everything it is supposed to. If you find a source for any pls let me know - I'm at grw@feico.com.
As a temp fix I have a piece of wire looped around the cross member and the exhaust- just because I did not think all that weight on the DP was good. Just my .02- thanks

I bought one from my friendly neighborhood GM dealer a few years ago, has it since been discontinued? Works with a THDP too. I think it was ~$25.

Yeah, just do what mar86gn said and grab a generic hanger with a long rubber strap with alot of holes from Pep Boys or the like. Then just bolt the strap to the exhaust and the bracket. Works for me.
