exhaust questions (on a s10 with a gn motor)

Looking at maybe doing this motor in my lowrider s10 again when I heal up. I was wondering on how a open downpipe setup sounds? IE if its louder then a straight pipe 350.

Is there a way to get around the u shaped exhaust system that hangs so far down behind the motor?

It wont be as loud. Somewhat loud but not as loud as a normally aspirated engine.

No. That's the crossover pipe. You need a way to get the exhaust gasses from the driver's side over to the passenger side where the turbo resides.

well might run a open downpipe for a bit when I get healed up

I only actually run the downpipe open when racing. The noise inside the car just gets to be too much for daily driving.
