Exhaust system

Hey guy, I got an 84 GN mostly all original and I have a huge leak in the exhaust. I'm wondering what kinda aftermarket performance exhaust system you guys are running just to get some ideas. Im looking for a mean sound at idle as well as a loud roar when I rip it down the road. Any help would be appreciated. Th thanks guys

if you are talking cat back this is what i have run before and liked it. somewhat aggressive sound and wont break the bank. How could mufflers effect the performance of a car specifically a turboed car

too much back pressure, the turbo spools from exhaust heat and pressure so if you have a restrictive exhaust it will slow the spool of the turbo

I saw before but cant seem to find it, who is it that makes a 4" single exhaust? Is anybody running that setup?

stop into a local exhaust shop and see what they'd charge to make up a system.. you can just leave the muffler out of these cars because the turbo kills most of the noise- maybe a single glasspack to act as a resonator..

Thats usually what I end up doing instead of buying a prebuilt system. If you dont mind crush bends and its not some show car then yeah a local shop "should" be able to fab something cheaper. Im a big fan of fast and quiet so at least a straight through muffler would be in my system

This is the system I run on both cars. Definitely the baddest looking/sounding/performing system out there IMHO......
