I posted this in another post (84 to 87 Radiator differences), but thought it could use a new thread.

Alright guys, i looked up the "F-Body radiators" like you suggested, and there are 3 main different ones with slightly different core dimensions. The MODINE 951 specs were looked up from napaautoparts.com and the other 2 radiator specs are from partsamerica.com

The MODINE 951:
Part # MO 951: 26 1/4 x 17 3/8 x 1 1/8 = 513 cu. in.

1987 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS SUPREME V8 5.0 Liter:
Part # 438162: 26 3/8 x 17 x 1 1/8 = 504 cu. in.

1987 CHEVROLET CAMARO V8 5.7 Liter:
Part # 433918: 26 1/4 x 17 1/4 x 1 3/8 = 622 cu. in.

Looks like the last one would be the best buy, it has the largest core by volume. I'm going with that one. Its only $117.99 on autozone.com.

PS: All have lifetime warranty

More important than the size is the type of core. You definately don't want the V8 Olds radiator. It will have a low fin count because it's made to work with a mechanical fan.

Ok, so scratch the Olds V8 radiator, but how about the Camaro one? These cars came with an electric fan, if im not mistaken.

I got the aluminum F-bod IROC radiator which might be the same as the regular V8 F-bod radiator. It's only a 2-core but it cools much better than my old 4-core radiator. That along with the dual fans and you will never have cooling problems again. The pic probably doesn't help much but you can see it fits nice.

i have the same one. works great. using fiero fan.

The Fiero/87 GN fan works great. I ended up going with the duals because I have a frontmount intercooler and it needs a little more airflow. Not only that but I was living in Vegas at the time. Never thought it was possible for it to sit at 165 degrees in the Vegas summer.

hey cool 84 2, Would you happen to have the part # for that upper rad. hose in the pic?

1987 V8 Regal. I was told it wouldn't work but it fits perfect for me. I think I cut an inch off of one of the ends if I remember right.

Edit-- Or maybe it was borderline too short, can't remember but it works great and looks factory.

I bought this radiator and its a 1 core, but extra wide to the length of a 2 core. Is this what everyone else has..?

They were sold by Ramchargers for $80 but I think they went out of business. I was told Brian Weaver at G-body parts still has a few.

433918 is the rad to go with.
Brian at gbodyparts sells the RC dual fans.
