Iv'e seen alot of posts on the F-body radiator swap and everyone seems to be going to the dual fans.

Has anyone installed it using the factory single fan?
If so, What were the temps with a 160* T-stat?

Just curious..

I still have the stock fan and stock location intercooler. 160-180 for me even at idle.

f body radiator

I run stock fan! temp stays around 165-170. the highest temp Ive had so far was 183 in stop and go traffic

It averaged around 170-175 with stock fan for me, switching to dual fans dropped it roughly 10 more degrees.

Good info guy's!! So it looks to me like the dual fans are not needed with a S.L I/C and would be more likely needed with a front mount!!!

Off to Advance I go!!!! :)

Thanks!

I don't know how many people run them but you can go to the junkyard and buy a condenser fan.It will work well with the one fan.It will help push the air to your stock fan.I have been debating on running two small condeser fans on the font mount to help push air to the radiator plus it will cool the front mount.

One more question!

The F-body radiators only have one cooler in it and a buddy of mine says the fittings needed to adapt your lines to it looks like it would restrict the flow some, Has anyone noticed a difference?

Between the trans & oil lines which one is the best to run though the cooler on the F-body radiator?

What is the BEST way to route our lines and keep things cool??
