you can see the shock wave build up along the leading edges of the wings then disappear just as it goes past and breaks the sound barrier.

hello peoples; As a kid there was a sonic boom every now and then and I think that's breaking the sound barrier. And you would think being so close to the spectacle it would be unbearably loud. Maybe it may depend on how close you are to the Earth as the air is alot heavier there.
