Sound deadening

Not sure if this is the right section but here goes. Going to be digging into the doors this winter and decided to improve the sound deadening aspect as well once I'm in there. I'll be using some good stuff over the vapor barrier but couldn't help but wonder if spraying a spray in sound deadener on the inside of the outer door skin wouldn't help a bit. Anyone do this before?

I don't think it could hurt anything as long as it doesn't cause any condensation build up or stop up the drain/weep holes at the bottom of the doors!?
