I came out this morning and the fan was running on my buick and it would shut off when I turned the key on the car. (The car has just been setting all night)

Has this ever happend to anyone

Thanks
Brent

My fan does not shut off like it is supposed to after 10 minutes or so, I take it that my fan delay relay is bad?

Does it do it now? Reason I ask is that the high speed doesn't get triggered until temps get to (I think) 205. I live in FL, and I have never seen my fan on high (except for when AC is on or my manual switch), or temps over 200. You may have the same problem with the relay.

No, I am talking about when I use my switch spliced into the relay wire ala gnttype.org. When I turn it on it stays on until I turn it off. I thought it was supposed to turn off automatically

Sounds like it is working right. The switch has 100% control and the fan will stay on as long as the switch is on and the ignition is on.

The other relay is the delay that times the fan after the high temp sensor is closed at time of shutdown (I think). I'm not sure how the wiring is to accomplish this tho.
